Your Cremation Keepsake

Blown Glass Cremation Art is a unique way for you to create a keepsake or memorial ornament in-which a small amount of cremated ashes are used. Only a single teaspoon of ash is all we need, the remainder is yours to keep or scatter as you wish.

Celebrate and remember the life of your beloved pet or person, forever, in glass art with Kingdom Glassblowing. Choose
your favourite colour and design, personalise your glass keepsake with a hand engraved message and create multiple pieces to share with your family.

We have developed this process so that it's easy to choose the piece that's perfect for YOU and we treat the handling and creation of every piece with care and respect. We are honoured you have chosen us to create this memorial for you and to become part of the Kingdom Glassblowing family. This page offers some more detail to help you visualise the process and place your order with us, online.

Purchasing

Select your preferences online

Begin by clicking 'Start your order' at the top of this page. This allows you to select the shape, colour and quantity of your memorial glass. You have the option to include an engraved message on the base and you will be asked if you wish to deliver the ashes to us in person or to post your ashes (1 teaspoon is enough per piece) via tracked courier. When you are ready - 'Add to cart' and complete payment online.

Delivering your ashes

Hand deliver or post

When you complete your order you are offered the option to deliver your ashes to us in person or to send them via tracked post. We appreciate this step can be difficult and some people like to invite a friend or family to assist. You can also take the ashes to a local funeral director and ask for assistance. We require a single teaspoon of ash, per piece, so you will need to seperate this amount from your urn or container and seal it in a ziplock bag. The urn and the majority of the ash stay with you. When you have added a small amount of ashes, seal it in a tracked parcel bag and pop it in the post. If you're not totally comfortable sending it to us, you are always welcome to hand deliver it, or give us a call, we will try our best to help.

Communication

Keeping you informed

We want you to be informed throughout the process, so you will be notified when your ashes arrive to us, then when your artwork is scheduled to be made. Once it is made, the glass needs a few days to cool down in the oven and after that, to hand finish and engrave, so we will let you know when thats complete too. Then, once your memorial glass is safely packaged and sent, we'll send you a link so that you can track the parcel to your door. You can always contact us and if you would rather collect the art pieces yourself, thats great too. We feel it's important you know where your ashes are at all times and that you are comfortable in the process.

Creation

Making Your Memorial Glass

When it comes to creating your glass in the studio we first sift the ashes and place them along side the coloured glass. We gather hot, molten glass from our furnace and roll it gently on the ash and colour. We skill-fully shape, sculpt and blow your unique creation while the glass is over 1000 degrees celcius and then place it into our annealing oven to cool. It takes two days to cool down, at which time we hand-finish and engrave your message to the base. Your finished memorial glass art is carefully packaged and delivered to you. If we can, we will visit you in person or you can arrange to collect it from us, but in most cases, it is couriered safely to your door. You can contact us any time during the process and we stand by our 100% satisfaction goal. Are you ready to place your order? If so, find the 'Start your order' button at the top of this page.
